WinWatermark Software, A Signature Idea

No one can guarantee one hundred percent protection against the theft of your photos. However, there are ways to thwart their efforts to claim your work as their own.  One great way is by adding a watermark to each of your photos.  WinWatermark software can help you there.

While it is true that there are many options available for you to guard your pictures or clip art, watermarking is clearly the better choice. WinWatermark software makes watermarking your precious project fast and easy and is most effective to discourage outsiders from trying to steal your work.

Decide what your watermarking software requirements actually are.  Consider the options for thumbnails, which would give you the ability to watermark your photos and your text in one combined batch.  Batching is the ideal way to pull a project together and cover it all at once.

Then, decide what you want your watermark to look like.  Also, where to embed it and how large do you wish it to be.  Placing your watermark on a corner and not over a vital part of your project or photo makes it easier for a knowledgeable thief to cut out your watermark or place something over the top of it and use it as their own.

You will want to choose your mark carefully because it will be your personal electronic identifier, no different than your written signature. Remember that you will want your photo or text visible enough to the viewer, but also complex enough in its composition to make it difficult for a thief to take it out from under you.
Watermarks through WinWatermark software come in all shapes and sizes and different styles have different uses.

Whichever watermark you choose from WinWatermark software for your personal electronic signature, you will want to make a copy to use and keep the original in a safe place.  A few good options are in a file the original by itself or on a disc or external drive. It is usually best to safeguard your photos and your watermark in separate places.

“Owner Approval Required” and “Draft” are but a couple of samples of a Generic text watermark.  This watermark just says that someone owns the picture, but does not say who the owner is.  Using your name is an example of Specific text.  Maybe you would like to use an Image Watermark so that others see your company name.  This can be as good as a business card on the web.

Other options include, but are not limited, to the Date Watermark and, of course, the Copyright Watermark, which tells the viewer that what they are looking at is indeed owned by the creator.

WinWatermark has the software for you, whatever your need.  Taking a moment here on this website can save you a lot of heartache later down the road.
