Becoming a “Big Dog” Company
In order for a business to succeed, it is vital that it is visible to the public and what it has to offer that public is either essential to their personal needs or is desirable to their insatiable wants. It is not always prudent to be the first iconic name. Rushing through an ad campaign to be the first on the market can be considered reckless. If the variables of an ad campaign are not considered in detail, odds are in favor of a backfire, which will no doubt, lead to undesirable returns from the market. That may leave your company name lying neck deep in the mud and you with a loss in financial clout.
There are some very important keys to a successful business campaign. Think about the quality of the letterhead. The sense of “feel” is a great way to attract would-be clients. You would not want to use cheap paper for your resume. Why use it on the letterhead you send out to a customer or a client? It is a “dog-eat-dog” energy out in the business world. The big question is which dog one your company is going to be at the end of the day? Everyday thousands of businesses fail and thousands of businesses excel in their trade. Why? Because the winning team thought about and did something about the small things, like senses.
Bake some cookies and see if your kitchen is not swarming with salivating guest in short order. Real Estate agents have been using this trick for years to sell houses. Some businesses add lights in the sky at night as a beacon to their location. Or, pipe music into the air from a local celebration to bring in the crowd. Politicians and activists might use a bullhorn while parading down Main Street to announce their views to the public, to have their view heard by the masses.
While some of these tactics may seem a little trite and silly even, considering you own a graphics design firm or a photography studio or a publishing house, you get the idea. However, until you have tried everything, you have not given it your all to get the public’s attention. They are waiting you to want it bad enough, perhaps. What are you waiting for?
For years, the buzz around office water coolers was the rise of a paperless society. That could really only happen if someone found a way around the need for touch. Humans need touch. We need to feel. We have too many sensors in our skin to not desire touch.
Whatever the sensory option(s) you choose, go all out with it. Look over every angle possible and consider them all thoughtfully and wisely. Take chances, yes, go over the top and reach high, but do it with wisely.
Make sure you watermark every graphic, photo, or text document that belongs to you as a precautionary safety standard. Watermark software is just the software to consider. Pick the right texture of paper for your letterhead for those presentations or proposals. You want to get noticed, but you would not want to get ripped off in the process.
